One more reason six classes stinks ...

Two words — playoff travel. Check out these first-round high school football playoff match ups and the distances involved between the two schools:

Fulton City at Louisville Holy Cross — 250 miles
Clinton County at Raceland — 250 miles
McCreary Central at Boyd County — 235 miles
Graves County at Louisville Trinity — 231 miles
Russell County at Calloway County — 220 miles
Ballard Memorial at Caverna — 211 miles
Bardstown Bethlehem at Mayfield — 206 miles
Campbellsville at Fairview — 201 miles

Note that five of them involve local teams. This is just one more indictment of the six-class format, adopted by the Kentucky High School Athletics Association two years ago.
